Across town and through the fields for about 24 miles total to get the food for the next few days.
Warm and foggy with just a little breeze. A great day to get out, traffic near home was a bit nuts with the fair, but that is to be expected.

I had some coverage for the baby today and was able to get out fo ra couple of hours, thank you Opie. I headed up to Casitas for a while before doubling back to head to the farmer’s market. It was really nice to get out of the morning fog and into some clear skies.
While out in the hills a bit I saw a deer with actual antlers, not usual around here. I only seem to see one every few years or so, plenty of does, but not really any bucks with head gear.
and then it was back into town where the fog was flirting with the coastline all day. A successful ride, fresh veggies and spin the legs.
You can just make out the fog bank in the distance.
For my co-pilot that is. No opie to babysit today, I needed to go to the market, so it was time to expand the range a bit. First stop was the swap meet. The fog was back in full force this morning.
From there along the coast to the other side of town. Plenty of Co-pilot snacks make for a better trip.
Half way to the farmer’s market we took a break to watch a giant date palm getting pulled like a weed
Then off to get some fruit, veggies and meat.
Even with plenty of cheesy crackers and fruit samples, energy levels were fading fast as we headed for home
Overall he trip went great. We pushed both time and distance further than we had before. The dividends were a bike full of food, some tired legs and a serious nap for Co-pilot while I am catching up on things.
Have fun, and Play outside!!!
This morning presented a couple of hours to squeeze in a ramble around town, I wanted to check out a park that I thought might be a gateway to some fire roads, but that did not pan out. The Fog and mist were pretty thick….
Riding back across town I stopped at the farmer’s market to pick up some fruit, then headed over to the flea market. Each week seems to keep getting bigger. THis time there were more vendors with bike junk, and definitely more guys skimming for stuff to flip. I was still able to haul some decent loot.
